"Have a Heart" Radiothon

The "Have a Heart" Radiothon is April 26th this year at Safeway in Fort St John

Join Sun FM as they hope to raise the remainder of the money needed to
purchase 7 wireless fetal heart monitors. 

Our Goal This Year: $30,000!!!

Fort St John and area has one of the highest birth rates per capita in Canada and the wireless fetal heart monitors will benefit our moms, babies and staff. In 2011 there were 630 babies born at the Fort St. John Hospital.  Currently our hospital uses wired fetal heart monitors, restricting the moms to their beds only. Wireless monitors will allow moms to move around while the baby is being monitored. The moms can use a birthing ball, bath or shower, and walk up and down the hallways. All these activities increase comfort during the labouring process, potentially improving the outcome of labour which also relieves some pressures from the nursing staff.

Join Sun FM as they raise funds for important equipment for the Fort St John Hospital.
